GENERAL RULES TOURNAMENT

 

  • All games will be played on the default settings, unless otherwise specified, below.

  • All macros available via the in-game controller configuration menu are allowed.

  • Hardware programmable input entry, rapid-fire, or other hardware assisted mechanisms are strictly forbidden.

  • Accidentally pausing the game at any time during the fight may force you to forfeit the round (solely at a judge’s discretion).

  • Any player using “Random Select” to pick their character, must “Random Select” again if they win the match, provided that there is no way to pick a certain character in the random box.

  • You must provide your own controller for games played on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Nintendo GameCube, unless otherwise specified, below.

  • All converters are the responsibility of the player. All Cronus Max converters are not allowed.

  • All wireless controllers which pair to the XBOX 360 or PS3 are banned.

  • XBOX One wireless controllers are allowed to be used only with a USB cable, and no batteries or battery pack in the controller.

  • Removing the battery or otherwise disabling these controllers is NOT OK.  You may not use these controllers under any circumstances.

  • 3rd party controllers which pair to a dongle like the MadCatz controllers as well as the Dual Shock 4 are fine.

 

STREET FIGHTER V

  • Game version: US PlayStation 4

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode, 99 Seconds, 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games, No Handicap

  • The top 8 competitors will play 3/5 Matches.

  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

 

ULTRA STREET FIGHTER IV

  • Game version: US Xbox 360

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode, 99 Seconds, 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games, Edition Select=Off, No Handicap

  • The top 8 competitors will play 3/5 Matches.

  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

  • Winner may change ultra (only if opponent changes characters), but has to pick ultra first after loser picks character.

 

ULTIMATE MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3

  • Game version: US Xbox 360

  • Game Settings: 99 Seconds, 3/5 Games, Default Handicap, Default Damage

  • You may not use any glitch that prevents the game from being played. This includes game freezing, game resetting, player freezing, dead body infinites, etc.

  • Winner must keep exact same team (including assists), but may switch order of assists via loading screen.

  • Galactus is banned in tournament play.

  • No multiple characters are allowed on the same team.

 

KILLER INSTINCT

  • Game version: US Xbox One

  • Game Settings:  2/3 Games, 99 Seconds

  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

  • There will be no customizing colors, names or items at any time before or during a tournament match. Any player that does so will be given a loss.

 

KING OF FIGHTERS 13

  • Game version: US Xbox 360

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode,  3on3 characters, 2/3 Games

  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

 

BLAZBLUE: CHRONOPHANTASMA

  • Game version: US Playstation 3

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode,  2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games

  • Unlimited Characters are banned from tournament play.

  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

 

INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US

  • Game version: US Xbox 360

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode,  2/3 Games

  • Button checks are done with the character you are choosing. After button check, hit rematch.

  • Losing player can change characters, which results in the stage being double randomed again.

  • Losing player can keep character and elect to double random stage for next match.

 

TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2

  • Game version: US PlayStation 3

  • Game Settings:  2/3 Games, 80 Seconds

  • Solo Mode is banned in tournament play.

  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

  • There will be no customizing colors, names or items at any time before or during a tournament match. Any player that does so will be given a loss.

 

SUPER SMASH BROTHERS MELEE

  • Game version: US Nintendo GameCube

  • Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled, 2/3 Games

  • Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.

  • Counter-pick Stages: Pokemon Stadium.

  • Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal.

  • First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.

  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.

  • Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.

  • Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans.

  • You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.

 

SUPER SMASH BROS FOR WIIU

  • Game version: US Nintendo WiiU

  • Game Settings: 2 Stock, 6 Minute Time Limit, Items Off, Equipment Off, 2/3 Games

  • Roy, Lucas, and Ryu are all not tournament legal characters.

  • Amiibo’s are banned.

  • Order of events: Pick characters, then stage striking, then custom move selection.

  • Custom moves are allowed. See THIS document for allowed sets at the tournament.

  • Available Stages:: Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville, Lylat Cruise, Town & City, Castle Siege, Delfino Plaza, Duck Hunt, Halberd

  • All Omega stages are banned.

  • Following stages decided by winner banning two stages from all stages and then loser choosing.

  • First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1(1)-P2(2)-P1(2)-P2(2)-P1(1) order.

  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.

  • You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.

  • You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list. This will result in a double disqualification.

  • Maximum allowed time between games is 60 seconds. Any player violating this rule will be issued a loss.

  • There will be no loading anything on to the consoles from a Nintendo portable gaming system.

  • Allowed controllers: WiiU Pro Controller & GameCube Controller.
